Shift: D Shift (8 PM - 8 AM)

How will you make an impact?As an Inspector, you will manually inspect plastic parts, ensuring product quality before packing and shipping. You will help maintain production flow by organizing, labeling, and preparing products for shipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety will contribute to the overall success of the manufacturing process.

What will you do?

  • Perform in-process inspections by visually examining each product for defects such as discoloration, burns, contamination, and other imperfections.

  • Record data related to product quality and job performance as required by management.

  • Pack products by transferring them into shipping containers, weighing them, labeling, and preparing them for shipment. Stack boxes correctly on pallets and transport them to the shipping area.

  • Maintain a clean and organized production and packing area, which includes sweeping floors, cleaning molding presses, and managing spills or leaks.

  • Operate manually operated molding presses, which includes removing molded products, packing them in appropriate containers, and performing secondary operations like trimming, reaming, or hot stamping.

  • Train new Inspector/Packer I employees as required.

  • Sort and rework non-conforming products, documenting and labeling them properly. Conduct sampling and gaging of reject products if needed.

  • Foster teamwork by developing good working relationships with colleagues across departments.

  • Complete all required training as assigned.

  • Conduct all job functions in a safe manner and comply with state and federal safety regulations.

  • Use safety equipment appropriately as required.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing, inspection, or packing preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Basic math skills.

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

  • Good color perception and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with colleagues at all levels.

  • Ability to work in a detailed, orderly, and logical manner.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a good command of the English language.

  • Proficiency with personal computers, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, and email preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an inspector or packer role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
