HCA Healthcare CNA Training Program at Mission Health in Asheville, North Carolina
Description
Please apply here if you are interested in joining the next Mission Health CNA Training Program cohort. Please read all the information before applying
Our next CNA Training Program starts on January 27th and will end on March 7th. This program is 6 weeks with a Monday to Friday commitment. A maximum of 8 hours can be missed during the 6 weeks of this class because the hours are mandated by the state of NC. You may be asked to start a week in advance to ensure you will be admitted into the program without delay. You will be a HUC for those two weeks- the HUC shifts are 12 hours, 3 days a week. You must work for Mission Hospital full-time for 5-6 weeks after completion of the course while waiting to take your exam. You must maintain a good standing in the HUC role to take the state exam. You must maintain an 80% or higher in the program to pass, if your grade goes below a 75% you may be dropped from the program.
Our nurse managers will interview for their unit. Offers will come from Talent Acquisition. All candidates will report to the hired department and work under that manager. You will be trained to work as a helping hands on the unit. You will stay in this position until you take/pass your state exam. Once you have passed your state exam you will begin working as a CNA on that same unit. The average time worked as a HUC is about 5-6 weeks as state testing is not immediate and delays can occur. It is required to work full-time with us after you complete the program (three 12-hour shifts a week, with a weekend requirement). Once you accept a position with us, you will be required to work 6 months on the unit that offered you a CNA position before you are eligible to transfer to another department in the hospital.
This position is a paid position and you will be considered an HCA employee. You will be benefit-eligible, and will be able to take advantage of benefits like tuition assistance, student loan repayments, PTO, medical/dental/vision, and so much more! HCA will cover all costs of the program, like paid testing fees, scrub cost reimbursement, on-the-job training, and test prep books.
This is a highly competitive program and we are only able to accept 30 of the many interested candidates. Because of this, we cannot reschedule your interview once it is set up. Attending the interview day is the only way to be considered for a spot in the cohort, no exceptions will be made.
We are hosting our hiring event for this upcoming cohort on Wednesday, December 11th, from 1 to 4 p.m. onsite at Mission Hospital. You are strongly encouraged to bring a resume and dress business casual for the interview.
