Utility Technology Engineers Consultants, PLLC Entry Level Electrical Power Engineer in Asheboro, North Carolina

Team member working on electrical design projects from the conceptual and study stage through completion of construction

Projects typically include electric power substations, transmission lines, distribution lines, load-side generation facilities, SCADA systems, fiber optic communication systems, and industrial distribution systems. System studies typically include short circuit, arc flash, protective coordination, load flow, cost of service, rate, and economic feasibility

Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Practical field investigation and data gathering capability

Computer and software skills to include the use of word processing (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite), e-mail, spreadsheets, electronic presentation programs, and electrical system analysis programs

Prepare electrical equipment: packaged equipment specifications and data sheets, Request for Qualifications (RFQ's), technical bid evaluations, and purchase recommendations

Review electrical equipment vendor drawings, data interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, detailers, and designers

Participate in project schedule development, scope, budget, staffing, and construction planning

Participate in construction administration, including coordination with field personnel to resolve design-related installation issues, calculations, field inspections, and testing of electrical systems

Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors and develop new business opportunities
