ManpowerGroup Maintenance Facilities Technician in Ashburn, Virginia

Our Fortune 500 Client, is seeking a Maintenance Facilities Technician for a contract assignment in Ashburn, VA . This role will involve managing and maintaining critical infrastructure within the Data Center and ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.

Maintenance Facilities Technician

Onsite in Ashburn, VA

6-11 Month contract

$37/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems (e.g., switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution).

  • Manage on-site shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure all work adheres to established practices and procedures.

  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies.

  • Monitor and maintain visibility of electrical and cooling systems.

  • Utilize CMMS system for tracking and completing equipment repairs.

  • Manage on-site shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on facility operations.

  • Collaborate with IT managers and business leaders on projects to optimize plant safety, performance, and efficiency.

  • Assist in the design and enhancement of facility infrastructure.

  • Oversee asset and inventory management and support recruiting efforts.

  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and meet customer demands.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree preferred.

  • 0-2 years of experience in Data Center operations.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Strong team-oriented, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of Data Center engineering or management experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Knowledge of network design, layout, and low voltage cabling.
