Actalent Civil Engineer in Ashburn, Virginia

Description:

Our client is a very well established multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm serving clients in WV and VA for over 50 years. They are looking to hire a Civil Project Engineer to join their team in the Ashburn, VA office! The Project Engineer should have Land Development experience and will work a project team to design a variety of projects, including industrial, commercial, and residential sites throughout Northern Virginia. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Project Managers and experienced Engineers in the planning and design of hydraulic and stormwater collection systems

  • Create and run electronic hydraulic models for water and sewer systems, including static and extended period simulations as needed

  • Design, development, and management of land development projects

  • Manage job tasks as deadlines and priorities change

Top Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of land development or related experience (site grading, putting together site plans, hydraulics, stormwater management, utility design, pond retentions, codes/ordinances, etc.)

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Experience with Storm water Management Design

  • EIT Certification or PE License is preferred, but not required
