IBM Corporation Technical Project Manager in Armonk, New York

Technical Project Manager, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US: Work as Technical Project Manager for strategic business Initiatives. Manage multiple programs cutting across applications, functions, technologies and vendors. Own End to End Software Delivery in counter systems, web applications, middleware systems, reservations application, eCommerce platform, Salesforce cloud and Datawarehouse area. Financial Management including allocation/monitoring/tracking and controlling the cost of projects/programs/initiatives for clients. Responsible for building and maintaining the client relationship, managing their expectations from employer delivery team and working with them to identify and forecast their business needs. Deep dive with project managers of impacted applications helping them revive the troubled area in the program/project. Develop full scale project plan, identify project/program dependencies and critical path. Responsible for project schedule, cost, scope, resources, timelines and milestones. Facilitate multi-level status reporting (i.e., project/program team member detailed reporting, program status reporting, and executive/governance status and update reporting). Participate in multiple project management and process reviews for evaluating and assessing performances and implementing remedial measures as needed. Demand and forecast management and change management around all projects in the program. Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards. Devise and implement strategies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. Utilize at least ten (10) of the following 19 tools/skills: Rational Rose, Eclipse, Tomcat, Oracle 8.1, DB2, MS-SQL Server 6.5/7.0, Progress 6.3, MS Access 2000, Java, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Windows NT/2000 Server, JIRA, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Remedy, QMS, AGILE, and Waterfall methodology. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Technical Project Manager or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing at least ten (10) of the following 19 tools/skills: Rational Rose, Eclipse, Tomcat, Oracle 8.1, DB2, MS-SQL Server 6.5/7.0, Progress 6.3, MS Access 2000, Java, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Windows NT/2000 Server, JIRA, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Remedy, QMS, AGILE, and Waterfall methodology. $157,768 to $194,900 per year.
