Opengate Inc Residence Manager in Armonk, New York

As a Residence Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the operation of one of our certified residences. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the overall well-being and quality of care provided to our residents. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residence, managing a team of dedicated professionals, and ensuring all care meets the highest standards set by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and Opengate Inc.

Responsibilities

Supervising, mentoring and training staff, including, but not limited to Direct Support Professionals. Conducting Monthly Coaching and meetings with Direct Support Professional staff emphasizing Core Competencies, evaluating the performance of all direct reports. Completing and maintaining appropriate records as required for the operation of the residential program. Learning and implementing Residential Procedures, as well as attending and preparing for Life Plan Packets/Summary meetings and IDT Meetings. Providing direct care assistance and coverage as needed, including transporting people receiving services using an agency vehicle as directed. Maintaining timely and appropriate communication with people receiving services, staff, families, supervisors and administrative staff. Ensure that resident funds are managed appropriately according to agency policy. Ensure that new employees are appropriately oriented to their role. Adhere to regulatory guidelines pertaining to a safe, healthy, and clean work environment. Other duties as assigned Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role. Minimum of 2 years working with the I/DD population.
