Amazon Technical Program Manager, Fire TV Experience in Arlington, Virginia

Description

Fire TV is how millions of people watch, share, and enjoy TV every day. We are looking for talented engineering professionals to help Fire TV become the global leader in entertainment with the best experience for customers and partners and the broadest selection of content and services. The Fire TV experience team designs, builds and ships delightful customer experiences on Fire TV’s streaming media players, smart TVs and in-car entertainment systems. This includes everything from a user’s first time with the device, how the experience looks, how users navigate it, how users discover new content , as well as how users interact with content and the device

In this role, you will:

  • Will work with a team of engineers building software for Fire TV to be compliant with various countries regulatory needs.

  • Use your leadership abilities to drive cross functional development on new solutions from design through delivery.

  • Work with key stakeholders in product management and leadership to define strategy and requirements.

  • Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control.

A successful candidate will have strong technical ability, excellent program management skills, great communication skills and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone with a deep customer focus, as well as a passion for all that goes into making timely, well-founded data-driven decisions possible.

A day in the life

• Own program delivery from end to end for Fire TV

• Deliver effective process management plans and enablement mechanisms that result in fast development of new features

• Work with stakeholders to drive clarity on ambiguous business problems into crisp business requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 2+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules

  • Experience with roadmap strategy and definition
