Grant Thornton LLP Technical Manager in Arlington, Virginia

Primary Responsibilities:

This position requires eight years’ experience directly delivering strategic support, stakeholder engagement, and technical consulting support. This position may be required to be onsite in the DC Metro area post COVID restrictions.

  • This professional will provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business.

  • Will lead a team in support of Capability Management processes and procedures for enhancing the security effectiveness and operational efficiency of TSA’s mission-based capabilities through enhanced detection, automation, integration, and connection.

  • Support is needed to guide early-stage capability development and resource management and to maintain oversight of capability functionality through regular operational analyses.

  • Expert advice and assistance in support of the mission-oriented business functions is needed to include assisting in the development of presentation materials for the high-visibility executive level audiences, as well as support in helping define funding requirement justifications to help secure R&D funding.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of the Acquisition Life Cycle Framework for translating user requirements, mission needs and gaps into functional and system level requirements.

  • Requirement’s development, verification, validation - Experience / Ability to create a requirement verification matrix.

  • Direct experience working with the DHS/ TSA acquisition process.

  • Knowledge in systems engineering, systems development methodology, project management.

  • Hands-on experience with DHS AD 102 requirements (or DoD 5000 equivalent).

  • Development of Broad Agency Announcements (BAA), BAA evaluation, and conducting research on emerging technologies with Industry, Academia, National Labs, and other Federal Agencies.

  • Ability to lead and/or support the development of operational requirements and writing functional and technical requirements documents such as CONOPS, ORD and FRD requirements

Client and Project Description: The support under PASS can be defined as integrated consulting services and integrated program support. Such professional services, organized around identifying and pursuing available technological capabilities that TSA can apply to TSA’s operational support environment, will improve the efficacy of TSA programs and projects. The services will assist in the successful facilitation of efforts to introduce and/or enhance technological products, services, systems, and capabilities.
