SAIC Integration Lab Manager in ARLINGTON, Virginia

Description

SAIC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Integration Lab Manager to lead and oversee our cutting-edge software integration lab in Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, system integration, and team leadership. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful integration and deployment of complex software systems in support of our diverse range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lab Management: Oversee daily operations of the software integration lab, ensuring that all resources, tools, and personnel are effectively utilized to meet project requirements.

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of software engineers and integration specialists, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations.

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define integration requirements, timelines, and deliverables.

  • System Integration: Design, develop, and implement integration solutions for complex software systems, ensuring seamless functionality and interoperability.

  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce best practices for testing, debugging, and quality assurance to maintain high standards of software performance and reliability.

  • Technical Expertise: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the lab.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration processes, configurations, and testing procedures.

  • Customer Interaction: Interface with customers to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with integration solutions.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship with an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

  • Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development and integration, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python), integration frameworks, and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
