The ESG-eX team's mission is to build a lasting, scalable and trusted ESG reporting infrastructure to satisfy regulatory requirements and stakeholders’ expectations. We translate external requirements into internal needs and build tools and mechanisms that enable Amazon businesses to meet their ESG reporting obligations and effectively manage their ESG opportunities and risks. ESG-eX is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to join the Program Management Office (PMO).

You will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of complex cross-functional projects that have broad reaching impacts. You may also be responsible for developing and maintaining mechanisms aimed at streamlining and/or eliminating excess process.

The ideal candidate will have delivered projects that are multi-year, cross-functional, and complex. You must be capable of managing expectations across a wide range of stakeholders. You must be capable of adapting your engagement and project management approach to meet the needs of your customer, business and program stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

• Defining strategies and owning the delivery of multiple cross-functional projects, taking ownership to monitor their progress against key milestones

• Create and monitor business metrics reporting to track compliance and process effectiveness

• Develop mechanisms (leveraging technology and automation where possible) to systematically address recurring business challenges

• Operate with significant autonomy and discretion to influence other internal and external teams

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience

• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

• Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
