Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) is hiring a Strategic Initiative Manager to join the WHS Global AMXL team. This team owns measuring, reporting and improving on the health and safety of employees across AMXL. The WHS strategy team works across AMXL to develop cohesive strategies and share executive reporting on our health and safety performance as a business unit. WHS is looking for a strategic thinker with written and verbal communication skills and organizational experience to fill this position.

Key job responsibilities

A strong candidate should have experience and interest in:

  1. Being a leader in improving health and safety at Amazon.

  2. Take part in large, cross-functional planning and strategy workstreams.

  3. Thinking big about operational strategies and regularly presenting to VP level leaders. This leader will own multiple monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews with leadership covering strategic level topics.

  4. Improving internal practices for sharing and visualizing data.

  5. Driving execution to published plans across multiple business groups.

  6. Contribute to planning calendars.

Responsibilities include coordinating 1-5 year plans for WHS, publishing strategic planning documents including OP plans, creating regular Steam and board level reporting.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
