We're on a journey to build something new! Our fast-pased and dynamic new business team is building new Automotive discovery and shopping products that connect customers with their new vehicle of choice. We’re developing new customer experiences and seller tools to support the entire vehicle discovery journey.

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Sr Incentives & Performance Manager to sit within our Seller (Dealer) Experience Team. This role will establish and oversee the development and execution of dealer focused incentive programs on Amazon Autos. The successful definition and execution of these programs will be aimed at driving sales, increasing dealer and customer satisfaction, and driving dealer behaviors key to program-wide business objectives.

The ideal candidate will own building and auditing accountability mechanisms, tracking qualification, and improving payment distribution processes for dealer rewards. They will set the terms and conditions of the programs, such as eligibility criteria and program deadlines. This role will also own developing a seller excellence program to reward bar-raising dealers, which will require industry literacy, and the ability to continuously test and learn.

As Sr Incentives & Performance Manager you will play a crucial role in motivating dealers to provide exceptional experience for Amazon Autos customers. This role will work directly with stakeholders including dealers, Automotive OEMs, product managers, account managers, internal economists, and business development teams. A successful candidate will be customer focused, highly analytical, resourceful, able to operate at all levels of the organization and comfortable driving critical business decisions in a fast paced and often ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Incentive Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive promotional incentive strategies aligned with sales objectives, product launches, and market dynamics. Identify target segments and objectives for incentive programs. Analyze sales data and market trends to gather insights.

  • Program Design: Design, implement, and manage incentive programs encompassing rebates, discounts, loyalty rewards, promotions, ads credits and bonuses. Ensure strategies encourage dealers to deliver first-rate customer experiences, and encourage customer engagement.

  • Partner Management: Develop relationships and collaborate with various partners in the incentives ecosystem, including lenders, manufactures (OEMs), and technology providers, to ensure top system performance and to drive customer experience innovation.

  • Seller Excellence: Develop a tiered badging and incentive program for top sellers. Partner with product managers to build the badging into the Amazon website.

  • Marketing: Partner with marketing, PR, and communications to deliver go-to-market plans for new incentive programs to drive engagement and awareness.

  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Define KPIs and metrics to measure the performance of incentive programs while optimizing ROI. Generate reports, analyze program effectiveness, and provide recommendations for enhancements. Build scalable incentive tracking dashboards and communication mechanisms. Manage incentives budget.

  • Program Management: Ensure implementation and execution of auditing and operating mechanisms. This includes defining and monitoring key goals and metrics, addressing escalations, and anticipating future program needs. Ensure incentive payments are delivered consistently and accurately.

A day in the life

You'll be collaborating with cross-functional teams (product managers, account managers, economists, business development) to design creative incentive programs and promote dealer excellence. You'll analyze data to identify trends, recommend actions, and implement optimizations. You'll update dashboards, prepare reports for leadership, and partner with product and marketing teams to develop badging criteria. You'll also engage directly with top-performing dealers to solicit regular feedback, gather insights, build relationships, and scale the program.

About the team

We are a newly formed team with a vision to create innovative discovery and shopping experiences on Amazon, providing customers better convenience and more selection. We’re collaborating with other experienced teams at Amazon to define the future of how customers research and shop for products in the complex automotive space. This role is part of the Vehicle Sales team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of program, project management, or marketing experience

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive industry experience

  • Experience executing incentive based programs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
