Job Title: Sr Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a sr level Systems Engineer to support an FAA customer on a core navigation program. This individual will report to the direct task lead and be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for FAA NAS Enterprise Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily program and segment meetings to develop and update Resource Planning Documents and program solutions.

• Assist with monitoring the solution implementation schedule of the program.

• Develop key JRC (Joint Resource Council) documentation per AMS requirements.

• Review NAS Enterprise Architecture updates, Risk Issue, and Opportunity Updates.

• Apply engineering knowledge in the analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of systems for navigation services to ensure compliance with FAA standards.

• Engage in configuration management, reliability, maintainability, integrity, and other system engineering disciplines to improve navigation services.

• Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of system engineering in the Navigation Services Directorate.

• Evaluate technical and operational requirements for systems and services in the NAS.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a systems engineer in the FAA or aerospace industry.

• 5 years specializing in Navigation: Ground Base Navigation Aids, Approach Lighting, and Global Navigation Satellite systems.

• Strong history supporting FAA NAS Enterprise Architecture (SME).

• Proficiency in systems engineering principles and processes (Fully V System lifecycle).

• Experience in configuration management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Physics, or related field.

• PMP certification is a plus.

• Knowledge of FAA Acquisition Management Systems and Procurement Process.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role, typically requiring 2-3 days onsite. The onsite requirement may change based on new administration policies for federal employees. Our company will mirror the FAA and customer requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72.16 - $88.94/hr.
