Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, Inbound and Supply Chain Support in Arlington, Virginia

Description

The Inbound & Supply Chain Finance team is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to own headcount planning, reporting, and analysis for this critical area of our operations. In this role, you will partner closely with Inbound and Supply Chain operational leaders to provide data-driven insights that support strategic decision making and drive continuous improvement.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end headcount reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy of headcount data at the director/cost center level and identifying and resolving any discrepancies

  • Create dynamic, visually-compelling dashboards and reports to track key headcount metrics such as FTE, efficiency, etc. Present these insights to stakeholders across the business

  • Respond to ad hoc requests for headcount data, analysis, and forecasting from executives, operations leaders, and other cross-functional partners

  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiency and automation in the headcount reporting process through the use of large-scale data mining tools and advanced analytics

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, HR, and operations teams to understand drivers of headcount changes and model the financial impact of workforce planning decisions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
