We take our role seriously and as part of the Energy, Resilience and Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts to provide comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services to deliver solutions that address critical occupational safety and health issues and support the military mission.

[[The ERS Division is seeking a highly motivated Senior Energy Policy Analyst to support a senior Department of the Air Force client focused on infrastructure, environmental, and energy issues. A successful candidate will enjoy leading small teams to develop polices, strategies, and projects focused on enhancing energy, water, and climate resilience. The ideal candidate will work well in a team environment and will be able to apply project management strategies to track progress against milestones, to flag and resolve issues, and to ensure final deliverables are submitted on time and meet quality standards. Some travel may be required with this position. This is a hybrid position located in the Washington, D.C area, with the flexibility to work from home while participating in some in-person client and team discussions at or near CTC's Crystal City office.

  • Lead ongoing energy/water resilience efforts, with the objective of translating those processes and lessons learned into implementable frameworks and projects
  • Apply technical knowledge to identify potential projects, such as microgrids and on-base generation, that can enhance energy resilience
  • Identify potential funding mechanisms, such as ESPCs and ERCIP, for energy and water resilience projects
  • Serve as a primary POC for clients on larger and/or more complex projects
  • Ensure project teams have the ability to meet the client's technical and process requirements
  • Facilitate policy and strategy development focused on improving installation energy and climate resilience
  • Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings/forums
  • Build strong client relationships
  • Mentor and assist with the development of junior staff

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related discipline with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience; masters degree preferred

Experience with large-scale energy efficiency and resilience project delivery, including project scoping, conceptual design, site selection, DoD acquisition process, project approval process, and third-party project financing process

Possess an interest in identifying innovative processes and projects to enhance energy resilience
