Work Setting: In person with some remote teleworking opportunity, but not a fully remote position. This position is periodically required to perform work in an IL6 cloud environment that requires access to one of our SIPR network labs.

Salary Range: $161,000 - $191,000 plus benefits.

  Knowledge Requirements: The applicant must be familiar with security and compliance requirements specific to Department of the Navy (DoN) Cloud environments, and must be knowledgeable of CSP-specific cloud native products and services. The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of the DoD RMF accreditation process and its relationship to cloud engineering practices and project execution. Additionally, the ideal applicant will have two of the following certifications:

• Senior AWS Cloud Engineer

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (AWS CSAP)

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (AWS CDEP)

  Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.

  Let's talk salary. The annual salary range for this position is $161,000 and goes up to $191,000 based on your qualifications. We also offer a competitive benefits package and have fringe benefits offered throughout the year. The benefits package value ranges from $13,000 for a single employee, and up to $28,000 for an employee and their family.   Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Sr. Cloud Engineer. This exciting position will have the chance to work on just about any aspect there is as it pertains to DoD cloud architecture, cloud provisioning, cloud engineering and networking, and migration of mission owner IT infrastructure to cloud infrastructure.

  What does this mean to you? We are seeking expertise in Cloud Engineering and Cloud Service Provider (CSP)-specific cloud native products and services.  The ideal candidate will also have a strong networking background, experience with F5 BIG IP, Windows Administration, Linux Administration, PKI Authentication, and a working knowledge of the DoD RMF accreditation process. The ideal candidate will also be able to clearly and concisely articulate cloud technical concepts and requirements to non-technical mission owner stakeholders.

  Additionally, applicants should be well versed in:

• Deployment of virtual machines

• Infrastructure as Code (IaaC)

• Cloud native monitoring tools such as Cloud Watch

• Data storage solutions

• Containerization

• DevSecOps infrastructure and Tools

• Authentication in the DoD network space

• Cloud architecture best practices

  Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD Secret level clearance and AWS Cloud certifications listed above.
