You Are:

The Security Architect Manager will work in the Security Design & Engineering team in the CISO organization.

The Work:

  • Working to ensure that IT solutions are built, tested, and deployed with secure designs and incorporating key business priorities.

  • Active collaboration with a variety of different technology teams within IT and IS to promote secure engineering practices.

  • The candidate has expertise in one or more of the following areas: cloud security, application security, network security.

  • Working with IT and Security stakeholders to develop security requirements with a strong understanding of external regulations and best practices as well as unique business needs and capabilities.

  • Participate in IT system design and architecture reviews to provide security planning advice and requirements

  • Coordinate with Agile / DevOps teams to advocate secure coding and system architecture practices and escalate concerns

  • Validate IT software and platform architectures for security best practices and recommend changes to enhance security and reduce risks, where applicable

  • Determine baseline security configuration standards

  • Determine strategies for security configuration monitoring and reviewing application changes

  • Articulate security concerns related to the solution being developed and providing guidance to minimize risks associated with the proposed solutions

  • Identify security requirements by evaluating business needs and technical requirements and relate them to required/desired security controls

  • Support the Risk Management Team as necessary in conducting security assessments of existing and potential vendors, contractors, and software

  • Acts as an advisor and business enabler to IT teams seeking guidance on security practices and controls to support secure solution design

  • Liaise with other security architects and security practitioners to share best practices and insights

  • Track developments and changes in the digital business and threat environments to ensure they are adequately addressed in security strategy plans and architecture artifacts

  • Stay up to date on the state of enterprise IT and security tools, trends, and processes

Here's What You Need:

  • U.S. Citizen required

  • 5+ years of experience in IT or information security engineering

  • Strong knowledge of application and network security principles

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud services (e.g., Azure Active Directory, Azure IaaS/PaaS, Office 365)

  • Strong understanding of secure web application network protocols (HTTP(S), TLS, SFTP, etc.)

  • Understanding of the OWASP Top 10 application security risks and its mitigations

  • 5 years of experience in cloud security, application security, and/or network security Recent experience in Federal or government contracting practice area

Bonus Points if you have:

  • 5+ years direct architectural experience

  • Prior experience performing ongoing maintenance and operations of security technologies (e.g. management of firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, etc.)

  • Knowledge of US security requirements related to regulations/standards such as NIST SP 800-171, 800-53, RMF, ISO 27001, SOX, etc.

  • Experience using Agile within project or development teams

  • Certifications: CISSP, CISSP-IASSP, CISM, SSCP, SANS GIAC (e.g. GCIA, GCIH, GPEN), CASP, CCNP Security

  • An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$103,200—$213,600 USD
