Insight Global Secret Communications Specialist in Arlington, Virginia

Job Description

This role will support and advance strategic communications and stakeholder outreach efforts within the Office of Research and Analytics (GPA/RA). Primarily responsibilities include drafting, editing and producing various insights-based communications products for Department communicators and a wide-array of internal and interagency stakeholders. The Strat Comms Specialist is responsible for ensuring Office wide communications materials succinctly condense technical information in plain English, conveys the "so what," and are tailored to our audiences. Comms support must also routinely and effectively manage multiple communications products, including a monthly newsletter, from concept to completion, and liaise with graphic design staff and various GPA and RA team members. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the office communications content calendar, distribution lists, and communications templates; responding to mailbox inquiries; hosting occasional briefings

Skills and Requirements

Skill and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in English, Journalism, or Communications

  • 3+ years of experience as a communications specialist

  • Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills to unify workflows

  • Ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to QA content for errors and accuracy

  • Able to collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

  • Strategic Thinking null
