Responsibilities You will perform various duties related to accounting, budget, biweekly manage-to-payroll (MTP) civilian labor and other related financial management work. You will advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will perform functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities. You will review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-13: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: allocating resources to the major commands, monitor execution and realign resources as necessary. GS-12 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Knowledge of Defense Agency initiative (DAI) financial system and Budget Execution preferred. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. Relocation expenses (i.e. PCS) may be authorized in accordance with applicable travel regulations. Vacancies filled from this announcement may be filled at any grade level listed.
