Amazon Sr. Financial Analyst, APO Finance in Arlington, Virginia

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Sr. Financial Analyst to be a key member in our AWS Partner Finance team supporting Strategic Initiatives including Partner Revenue, P&Ls, Organizational Productivity, and Executive Insights and Analysis. This role will be responsible for, but not limited to, developing tools, reports, financial models, and analysis to support finance/business leaders manage the large and growing business. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a groundbreaking team. Job responsibilities include:

Primary responsibilities:

• Supporting initiatives involving Partner Revenue, Pipeline, P&L, Productivity, and Insights.

• Take the lead in building complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance. Lead the development of new metrics that bring new clarity and insights.

• Drive consistency in reporting and methodology with stakeholders across a growing organization.

• Develop robust and scalable reporting solutions.

• Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

- - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

- - Exceptional analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to build financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving.

- - Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel and providing recommendations based on results to senior management for strategic decision-making

- - Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis

  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
