Amazon Finance Manager, Global Prime Finance in Arlington, Virginia
Description
Global Prime Finance (GPF) seeks a Finance Manager to drive strategic thinking on Prime Member spend. This leader will devise scalable strategies to speed up Prime spend growth, and deepen member engagement. This role will be instrumental in providing analytical and strategic support to WW Prime - Earth’s largest and most loved membership program – and provides a unique opportunity to understand Prime Member behavior, develop new metrics, and generate insights that influence strategic Prime Member investment decisions.
The right individual indexes high on Invent and Simplify, Dive Deep, and Learn and Be Curious. They have a deep desire to improve the lives of Prime Members by deepening the organization’s understanding of how, why, when, and on what they spend. They influence globally, developing mechanisms that scale to other Prime Finance teams across the world. And finally, they act as an evangelist, diving deep to understand everything there is to know about Prime Members spend.
This role requires a strategic and analytical leader that thrives developing and deploying new frameworks, mechanisms, tools, and processes to transform WW Prime’s mental model for Prime Member to spend. Key job responsibilities
Be a subject matter expert for Prime Member engagement and spend, developing the global framework for evaluating engagement initiatives, tracking performance, and understanding drivers
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Influence business decisions through data driven analysis and modeling
Partner with business intelligence teams to explore available data, identify and construct new datasets, and isolate trends and insights to inform engagement and spend initiatives
Drive scenario planning and comfortably challenge assumptions
Partner closely with multiple finance and business leaders across Stores to establish robust reporting, forecasting models and variance analysis.
Provide financial analyses and strategic leadership to WW Prime Engagement teams, as well as Global Finance teams supporting Amazon-wide goals
Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative data and creates meaningful reports to drive spend growth
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
