As the Technical Director for the Financial Management (FM) Practice, you will play an important role in overseeing the development and delivery of digital transformation solutions for Federal CFOs. From strategy and roadmap development to leading key technology initiatives and participating in the competitive bid process you will be play a critical leadership role within our FM Practice. You will engage directly with Customers, Partners, Account Directors, Program Managers, Lead Architects, technical development teams, and Career Path leaders, driving critical efforts to Go-To-Market, drive Thought Leadership, ensure the achievement of successful customer delivery, productize services and solutions, and develop/mature FM solutions.

This position is a Hybrid position located in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary technical POC for the FM Practice to win and deliver technology solutions that address Federal FM systems modernization needs.

  • Develop compelling FM technology visions, reference architectures, and roadmaps for Federal CFO organizations.

  • Lead customer technology exchanges and coordinate with other tech leaders across the company, our customers, and our partner ecosystem.

  • Lead technical strategy and resulting roadmap in support of Practice strategy and associated go-to-market plans.

  • Leads FM practice strategy for technology alliances and partnerships.

  • Conducts research and case studies on emerging technology vendors and evaluates potential use of those technologies in FM solution offering development.

  • Leads thought leadership activities to communicate ManTech’s point of view to the market about FM technologies/tools and methodologies/techniques.

  • Conducts internal briefings on FM technology strategy, vendor/alliance partnership strategy, content marketing activities, emerging partner landscape changes, etc..

  • Engages with active project teams (tech architects/leads) to solve delivery issues and/or infuse innovation and develop technology roadmaps with our customers.

  • Leads innovation and research and development (R&D) activities for the FM practice, in collaboration with ManTech’s Innovation & Capabilities Office (ICO).

  • Collaborate across ManTech to architect solutions in support of new business, customer demonstrations and engagement, and promote growth.

  • Architect solutions and identify investments to align with long-range strategic pursuits and initiatives in the existing portfolios and adjacent markets.

  • Product owner for technical artifacts and deliverables generated in response to RFPs, RFIs, BAAs, and whitepapers for the Segment.

  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, engagements, and round tables.

  • Lead initiatives around concepts, criteria and best practices for design and engineering.

  • Lead productization of services and solution offerings to increase the quality of engineering services provided.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or comparable work experience in tech sector

  • 10+ years of professional experience working with technical SMEs in a technical field

  • 5+ years of working within the Federal financial management space

  • Experience developing Go-to-Market plans as a technical leader and actively participating in winning large, complex Federal transformation contracts

  • Deep understanding of and experience with relevant FM technologies, including Core Financials/ERP, Corporate Performance Management (CPM) platforms, Low Code No Code platforms, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software, data solutions, and best practice software development methods

  • Active engagement in relevant industry associations, such as AFCEA, ACT-IAC, the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC), and the Association of Government Accountants (AGA)

  • Strong understanding of systems development, Agile and cloud computing concepts

  • Ability to build positive customer relationships and engage with all levels of customer and ManTech stakeholders.

  • Ability to build positive internal relationships across the organization to include mentoring the technical SME community

  • Ability to think and operate on both the strategic and tactical levels

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, particularly when presenting technical topics to a non-technical audience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Active Secret/TS Clearance

  • Experience with large scale Federal IT transformation / modernization programs

Security Clearance requirements:

  • US citizenship is required and the ability to obtain a Public Trust and Secret clearance.
