Description
POLITICO is seeking a dynamic, creative, and enterprising editor to direct our coverage of major health agencies as President Donald Trump and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. prepare to disrupt the nation’s approach to approving and delivering medical care.
This editor will be responsible for a team covering the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, two agencies at the center of efforts to remake the government role in the U.S. health system.
This is a high-profile position for an editor who is skilled at setting the agenda in a fast-moving news environment. We’re looking for someone with exceptional news judgment and the drive to lead a group of reporters to break news and deliver high-impact enterprise work.
What You'll Need:
At least 10 years of professional journalism experience
A track record of managing a team of fast-paced, high-impact reporters
A deep understanding of how policy is made in Washington and the interplay between Congress and the executive branch
