SAIC Defense Policy Analyst in ARLINGTON, Virginia
Description
SAIC is seeking a Defense Policy Analyst to provide direct support to Deputy's Innovation Steering Group (DISG) and Defense Innovation Working Group (DIWG) decision-making forums to rapidly evaluate, identify, and execute innovative solutions for key operational problems facing the Joint Force. The candidate will provide meeting management, meeting execution, and senior leader stakeholder engagement and coordination. The position requires familiarity with the Pentagon, DoD organization/structure, and senior leader decision-making. The ability to work in fluid environments with evolving direction and experience interfacing with DoD senior leaders is critical. This position is located in Arlington, VA.
Job Responsibilities:
Produce quality work independently or in a group setting, provide solutions to customer issues, and solve problems quickly
Coordinate meeting sites and logistics, agendas, read-aheads, seating charts, and meeting minutes
SharePoint site maintenance access and calendar
Manage SharePoint site access and maintenance
Capture, coordinate, and disseminate meeting summary of conclusions
Use tools and portals that link and integrate authoritative data sources for tracking, monitoring, and reporting on senior decision making
Work closely with the OSD Executive Secretary to manage senior level meetings
Work closely with senior leaders and their front office staffs across OSD, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, and Service components
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and six (6) years or more experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience
Required Clearance:
Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain a TS/SCI required to maintain employment
US citizenship required
Required Qualifications:
5-7 years supporting OSD or Military Service components in an Action Officer capacity
Highly proficient working with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft SharePoint and Outlook
Tracking and managing RSVPs & attendance
Experience with Stakeholder coordination across DoD or other Government entities
Energetic and adapt to rapidly changing requirements, and multi-task capabilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Professionalism, tact, and experience working with senior leaders
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Desired Experience:
Experience with DoD governance forums, meeting management and execution, and senior leader stakeholder engagement
Experience working closely at the OSD, Joint Staff, or Service level
Experience working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team
