The Red Gate Group is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Engineer III to support DARPA's Adaptive Capabilities Office (ACO). This role involves working closely with military services to address critical national security challenges. You will define and vet architectural solutions that integrate emerging technologies and new warfighting constructs. These solutions will be tested through rigorous modeling, simulation, and experimentation to develop new doctrines, concepts of operations, and integrated capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, including Assessment and Authorization requirements.
Plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor cybersecurity measures to enhance cyber defense and maintain network resilience.
Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities, propose remediation actions, and ensure appropriate security controls.
Respond to security breaches, re-establish protections, and generate required reports.
Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent
Ten (10) years of notable experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements.
Experience may include plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network; assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies; ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure; and respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.
At least seven (7) of the Ten (10) years, the individual supported research and development (R&D) Department of Defense (DoD) programs
Demonstrate skill in conceiving, planning and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques
Demonstrated ability of make decisions independently on research and development (R&D) engineering problems and methods, and of resolve important questions and of plan and coordinate work.
Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices for each lead of the four functional areas (Intelligence and Mission Capabilities, Architecture, Applications, and Mission Integration).
Each functional area lead shall have at least five (5) years extensive experience, background and knowledge of the corresponding functional area. Published articles in Field of Expertise are desired. At least three (3) years of experience working in DARPA or similar organization is highly desirable.
