Position Description:

CGI is looking for a Business Analyst with 2-5 years of applicable experience as a financial/accounting analyst to join our team. Qualified candidates will ideally have experience in US Federal financials, but experience with private sector or state and local government financials is also acceptable. Candidates need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good oral communication and written skills, demonstrate a strong attention to detail, and have a good understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and operational/financial accounting concepts. This role will work closely with other business consulting team members and project managers. They will be actively encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge through professional development to allow for career progression within CGI.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office with work performed at client site in Arlington, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Support a cross-functional team to drive a successful outcomes for our clients.

• Interact with the government client to identify problems and capture questions or challenges.

• Assist with providing analysis and solutions to identified problems, and communicate those with the client.

• Producing high quality deliverables

• Capture lessons learned and support the team on identifying best practices for future initiatives.

• Document processes, requirements, user stories, and other documentation that allows the team to create the best possible solution for our client.

• Identify and communicate areas of improvement and assist more senior members with formulating

plans to address those areas and find solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Our Federal customer requires that all applicants possess US citizenship and a be able to receive a Secret level clearance

• 2-5 years of experience as a business analyst in a client facing role, preferably related to federal finance

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent

• Microsoft Office proficiency (MS Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint a must)

• Strong personal organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Comfortable with up to daily client interaction; ability to be professional and attentive to client needs.

• Highly skilled in Problem Solving and the ability to work both independently and collaborate in a team setting.

• Must have a proactive attitude and be eager to learn daily and take initiative

• Detail oriented, emphasizing accuracy and reasonableness of data

• Ability to effectively partner cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Willing to operate in a hybrid work environment (some telework, some on-site work)

• Experience with using agile methodologies to deliver solutions

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

  • Understanding of federal back office functions, organizations, and motivations

  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, Proscii or other relevant certifications

  • Demonstrated success engaging with customers and demonstrating knowledge and expertise

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $55,600.00 - $130,500.00.
