Amazon Associate Contracts Manager , AWS Infrastructure Legal in Arlington, Virginia

Description

Work hard, have fun, and make history with Amazon’s legal team. As an Associate Contracts Manager, you will be a key team member supporting the rapidly growing Amazon Web Services business. Amazon Web Services is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, browsers and more. This Associate Contracts Manager will primarily support the business and procurement teams in data center design and construction.

Key job responsibilities

• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of Amazon contracts, including general contractor and engineering/design vendor main services agreements, work orders, amendments, NDAs, and others.

• Providing day-to-day advice to business clients on projects, negotiations, vendor management, and internal and external communications.

• Driving legal and business-facing process improvements, including simplification measures to eliminate repetitive, low spend, or low risk work.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 2+ years of contracts management, leading or supporting contract negotiations, and drafting contracts, or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department.

• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legal terms.

Preferred Qualifications

• In-house legal experience a plus.

• Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

• Ability to invent, simplify, and improve legal and contracting processes.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $52,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $112,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
