Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business and Technical Management Career Path (AcqDemo only) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This Acquisition Management Specialist position is assigned to the US Army Acquisition Support Center, Office of the Director, located in Arlington, VA Responsibilities Responsible for Audit Readiness and Remediation activities for business processes related the acquisition, receipt and acceptance and valuation of capital assets, munitions, and spare parts. Responsible for the development, completion and implementation of effective corrective action plan that address control gaps and include necessary steps for remediation of audit findings. Develop, analyze and publish publication of meaningful metrics, plan milestones, process narratives, process flows, and Internal Controls. Develop policies, plans, and procedures relating to external audits throughout ASA(ALT) and executes audit liaison functions as prescribed by appropriate laws, directives, and regulations. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02/GS-11 or equivalency which includes: 1) Analyzing procurement programs to identify problems in order to recommend appropriate resolutions; 2) Reviewing proposed contractual actions for conformance with regulatory requirements and procurement practices; and 3) Serve as contracting officer's representative (COR) on selected contracts, and recommends the issuance of necessary modifications to clarify questions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Acquisition Strategy Budget Administration Communications Organizational Awareness Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
