D.R. Horton, Inc.is currently looking for a _Talent Development Specialist_. The right candidate will promote employee development and mobility through the facilitation and coordination of the National Internship and Transfer programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design and implement Social Media recruiting campaigns
  • Act as a corporate liaison to HR Coordinators and Hiring Managers in various divisions nationally to address recruiting inquiries
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to manage the full cycle recruiting/orientation process for internship candidates
  • Facilitate and coordinate company-wide annual internship program to include orientation, exit meeting events and travel coordination
  • Conduct final interview and selection process for internship candidates
  • Schedule, track and update display transit information with event attendees and shipping resources
  • Communicate with hiring managers to evaluate hiring goals and strategies for successful college recruitment
  • Evaluate suitable departments for internship rotation schedulign and communicate with managers to determine daily duties that benefit intern success
  • Coordinate career fair event display distribtuion and repair displays through recruiting season
  • Responsible for creation and delivery of internship materials including schedules, policies, contacts, and best practices
  • Travel as needed for national recruiting events. Serve as company representative while interacting with students and attendees
  • Support collegiate recruiting initiatives through career fair registration, invoice processing and promotional material inventory
  • Utilize Eventbrite to update and coordinate attendee registration for national recruiting events
  • Facilitate national transfer program to promote internal growth and mobility through daily communication with current employees and hiring managers
  • Verify transfer applicant eligibility through manual review of personnel files
  • Act as a liaison between hiring managers and transfer candidates throughout the transfer process to ensure a successful transition
  • Review and process promotion requests from divisions nationwide
  • Maintain personnel transfer files and manage databases
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Must be available to travel nationwide (up to 50% travel required)

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university

  • One to two years related experience and/or training

  • Outgoing and friendly demeanor a must

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail

  • Possess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well within a team

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications

  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter preferred

  • ATS (Applicant Tracking System) experience a plus

  • Experience with internal databased and Eventbrite preferred

  • Training and public speaking experience a plus
