Job Summary

To perform with a high degree of initiative and judgment in awarding

and revising financial aid as well as calculating the return of Title IV

funds, specifically to students participating in modular degree programs.

The non-standard nature of the academic terms for these programs makes

the compliance risks higher than for students in standard terms, so

attention to detail in creating and revising awards for these students is

critical. Process federal and private loan applications by following

federal, state, and institutional regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a schedule of modular enrollment and awarding reports.

  • Run on a regular schedule and complete required work.

  • Work with other staff for assistance based on work volume.

  • Complete revisions to the cost of attendance and awards for modular students.

  • Extensive knowledge of Return of Title IV Funds processes.

  • Complete official and unofficial R2T4s for modular students and other reporting as needed.

  • Certification of federal and private loans.

  • Work with lending partners to resolve student issues.

  • Communicate with borrowers as needed.

  • Student communication and contact.

  • 5atisfactory Academic Progress review.

  • Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of experience working in student financial aid.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.

  • Experience with MS Office and ImageNow.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Understanding of Finanical Aid regulations.

  • Ability to read reports and make appropriate decsiions regarding the data.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Ability to handle confidential information discretely and professionally.

Other Requirements

Specific job requirements render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of section 51.215 Texas Education Code requiring a Background check.
