Job Description Summary

The Assembly Stack and Balance Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes within the Assembly Test Organization. In this role you will utilize your experience to solve technical problems, develop and execute objectives, coach global teams, communicate to leadership, and drive business goals. The role focuses on supporting Assembly Rotor Stack and Balance for GE Aviation production and overhaul facilities through best practice development and leveraging.

Job Description

  • Roles and Responsibilities

  • Familiar with rotor structure hardware and engine assembly

  • Solid understanding of vector math and statics

  • Create and teach training materials related to engine assembly rotor stack and balance best practices

  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements

  • Act as a mentor to global engine assembly rotor teams. Be an expert and consulting resource to colleagues and customers

  • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project

  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures

  • Communicate and present key project milestones regularly to the leadership team

  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

  • Work directly with global teams to leverage assembly best practices across sites

  • Be the technical liaison to equipment manufacturers providing technical specifications and assuring on-time machine/equipment delivery

  • Some domestic and international travel required

  • Required Skills

  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in rotor structure hardware and engine assembly ) + Minimum of 3 years of (rotor structure hardware and engine assembly)
