Eaton Corporation Assembler - Weekend Shift (Avery Creek) in Arden, North Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembler - Weekend Shift (Avery Creek). This position is based at our Arden, NC location. The primary function is to perform winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and to produce complete sub-assemblies, and final assembly of control equipment. The assembler will also check electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies.

Shift Hours: Friday - Sunday, 7am - 7:30pm

The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:

• Work from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.

• Determine necessary parts and material and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock.

• Prepare wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals/ Operate power tools, including battery powered and compressed air

• Route out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly.

• Check electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required.

• Execute engineering and customer changes and makes repairs as required.

• Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach and maintain records as required.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States without Company Sponsorship

• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Avery Creek, NC. Active-Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanical/Electrical background

Skills

• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead

• Able to do some lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement.

• Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams

• Proven history of safe work habits

• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision

• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.

• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
