About the role: Boston Scientific (BSC) is actively seeking a Vice President of PMO to drive program execution and business operations for the Cardiac Rhythm Management & Diagnostics (CRMDx) business. Within this role you will lead an organization of PM professionals in establishing best practices within the PMO function, managing product development and commercial execution for new products, sustaining existing products, setting the framework for and leading key processes supporting business operations. The VP, PMO is part of the business leadership team and is a key contributor to the vision and strategic direction of the CRMDx division. This role is located at our Arden Hills, MN campus with an expectation of a minimum of 4-days per week on-site. Key Responsibilities: Leadership of the Program Management Office (PMO) Direct responsibility for the Program management team/function including recruiting, developing, inspiring, and retaining PM talent. Directs and controls/influences the activities and budget of multiple functional areas across multiple franchises within the CRMDx business. Ensure alignment of portfolio strategies with market trends and technology advancements to maintain a competitive advantage. Challenge franchises to ensure prioritization of programs and initiatives maximizes business impact and resource utilization. Shapes key project management processes and initiatives. Maintains, PM standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure high performance. Promote innovative solutions and forward-thinking strategies to drive competitive advantage for the organization. Monitors and ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Establish metrices and measures allowing evaluation and improvement of PMO processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives. Business Operations Leadership Own and optimize the business governance model including franchise & business leadership structure, key operational & strategic meeting forums, attendees, etc. Builds strategic partnerships to further organizational objectives. Interacts with & influences executive level management, regulatory agencies, customers, and suppliers. Organization leads key product/commercial program reviews. Drive accountability & robust decision-making through process discipline. Lead key business processes such as forecasting cycles, AOP, Strategic Plan to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compelling output. Work with franchise leadership teams in developing effective processes to manage the product portfolio, evaluate key investment opportunities, & drive franchise strategy. Contribute to vision and strategy as a key member of the Business Leadership team. Constructively challenge existing paradigms, advocate for novel approaches Ensure focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence across the business. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, project management, or another relevant field. 10+ years of experience in the Medical Device industry with some combination of Program Management, R&D, Operations, Sales/Sales Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Digital, and Marketing. Demonstrated success in leading complex projects and programs. Demonstrated success in cross functional & collaborative leadership, motivating teams and functions to achieve above plan performance. Ability to adapt style to lead at strategic or detailed level depending on the team and topic. Extensive global experience in product development and innovation processes, with a strong understanding of R&D and engineering concepts. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 25%). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical or life sciences field Advanced degree in business management Functional experience beyond traditional Program Management strongly preferred, including commercial strategy and experience with Cardiology products.
