About the role: As a key member of the Arden Hills Process Development team, your primary responsibility will be leading a team of process engineers in driving the advancement of new products, processes, and technologies for the Electrophysiology division. You will oversee the development and management of staff resources and processes to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and high-quality manufacturing solutions to both divisional and operations customers. Additionally, you will provide strategic input on departmental, divisional, and BSC plant network initiatives. A key aspect of this role involves building, developing, and empowering a strong team capable of meeting the demands of multiple projects and diverse customer needs. Your focus will be on establishing effective partnerships across functions and geographic locations to ensure the successful execution of key programs. This role will require occasional travel (5%-10%, domestic and international) to support development and transfer activities at various sites. Key responsibilities: Lead teams in the achievement of organizational and functional goals.Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization. Coach and lead engineering teams to develop highly capable, scalable, and robust manufacturing processes, and successfully transfer into operations. Establish goals for process capability, manufacturing yield, COGS, and other key metrics Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing teams to create innovative and manufacturable product designs. Ensure knowledge driven approach to process & product development, and that functional excellence is exhibited in all product and technology development projects. Drive technical projects of significant magnitude and scope. Work is expected to result in the delivery of new or refined technologies, products, processes, materials, equipment, that enable growth in BSC's portfolio in key strategic areas. Develop detailed work plans, budgets, objectives, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Monitor & troubleshoot performance and schedule issues, support & enable team to achieve objectives. Make decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve department objectives. Recruit, coach, develop organizational talent. May be responsible for providing direction and/or guidance to exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.May supervise non-exempt employees. Ensure compliance to company policies & procedures, and regulatory compliance to GMP's of all medical device regulatory agencies (e.g. FDA, BSI, ISO, EEO, MDR). Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC's Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented. Required ualifications: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 7+ years related work experience; or Master's degree and 5+ years of related experience. 3+ years' experience in leading and developing a technical engineering group. Preferred qualifications: Team oriented approach to projects thatdrives collaboration & execution across the business. Experience in developing and transferring manufacturing processes and/or production equipment/lines. Track record of developing new technologies and processes that excite customers. Track record of developing strong cross-functional partnerships. Working knowledge of BSC therapies, products, and processes. Experience working on product development programs that span a wide range of functional and geographical reach. Previous experience working with international teams preferred. Vision to see what technologies are going to be needed in the future and ability to get them started with little oversight or guidance. Effective in building and leading high-performance teams.
