About the role: Testing medical device application requires rigor and attention to detail to meet industry and regulatory standards. It takes someone who can solve problems, is unwilling to give up, and is in tune with the highly regulated nature of medical device software. We're looking for a top-notch Mobile application test engineer with a focus on quality who has experience with primarily Android mobile testing with some experience with iOS testing. Your responsibilities will include: Development of test scenarios following design and requirement documents to ensure intended behavior is verified Write automated integration and functional tests for native mobile application Interact with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner Maintain, report test results and investigate test failures Participate in code reviews with peers Work in a highly regulated software environment Focus on patient safety Direct support personnel and project activities Mentor Engineers in engineering activities/methodologies and domain knowledge Continuously improve process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes Assess the feasibility and soundness of alternative engineering processes, tools, or technology Required Skills: Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science Required minimum years of work experience: 8 years with BS, or 5 years with MS 5 or more years of test automation experience with at least 3 or more in Android platforms Knowledge of mobile hardware and software platforms Hands-on experience with at least one of the following automation frameworks Appium Espresso/Compose Test Desire to learn, explore, and push team practices to modern standards Work within Continuous Integration environments Team player willing to collaborate with peers Effective communicator and writer Independent contributor who requires less or little supervision Preferred Skills: Experience automating with Kotlin, Android Studio Understanding of mobile interface guidelines Exposure to mobile device cloud farms Experience using Page Object, Robot, or Screenplay design pattern Hands-on experience with XCUITest Requisition ID:589217 Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substancetesting requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
