Your Opportunity: The demand planning analyst is responsible for analyzing, forecasting, and planning resource needs to ensure that the organization can meet customer demand efficiently and cost-effectively. This role involves working closely with operations, production, supply chain, and other key departments to balance capacity with demand, prevent bottlenecks, and optimize the use of resources. Your Responsibilities: Forecasting and Demand Planning: Analyze historical data and trends to forecast future demand. Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer service, and production teams to gather input on expected changes in demand. Develop and maintain capacity models to predict future resource needs. Resource Planning: Determine the required staffing, equipment, and material needs to meet projected demand. Plan for capacity expansions or reductions based on forecasted needs. Identify potential capacity constraints and recommend solutions. Capacity Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor current capacity utilization and identify areas for improvement. Implement strategies to optimize the use of resources, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Ensure that capacity plans align with business goals and objectives. Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather and analyze data related to production, inventory, staffing, and other resources. Prepare regular reports on capacity utilization, forecasting accuracy, and performance metrics. Use data to make informed recommendations for capacity adjustments. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production, operations, supply chain, and other departments to align capacity plans with overall business strategies. Communicate capacity plans and changes to stakeholders across the organization. Participate in cross-functional teams to address capacity-related issues. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements related to capacity planning. Stay updated on industry best practices and tools for capacity management. Lead or participate in initiatives to enhance capacity planning processes. You Must Have: Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in capacity planning, production planning, supply chain management, or a related role. Experience with data analysis and forecasting tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy. We would also prefer: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices. Experience with ERP systems and advanced analytics tools.
