Safety Manager R30935

The Safety Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, communication, and coordination of all safety programs for the site. This position will implement and manage site specific processes to reduce or eliminate accidents, workplace hazards and unsafe acts. Through advising, directing, and training of all employees, in addition to maintaining documentation, ensures compliance with all corporate, federal, state, and local requirements for safety.

YOUR IMPACT:

Ensure compliance with all OSHA, federal, state and local guidelines regarding health and safety program.

  • Providedirection and guidance regarding implementation and maintenance of allhealthand safety related programs

  • Evaluaterisksand develops guidelines for roles, training, measurements and rewards for the management system for employee safety

  • Provide leadership and demonstrate commitment to the organization’s safety performance.

  • Recognize health and safety hazards in the workplace and implement controls to eliminate unsafe acts and conditions.

  • Provide effective safety training and development for managers and employees including new hire safety orientation, and other employee safety and health programs.

  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging regulations and standards and ensure organizational compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or a related degree

  • 5-plusyears safety management experience

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Manufacturing experience

  • ASP or Certified Safety Professional

  • Exhibit strong leadership, development and project management skills
