JOB SUMMARY:

The Strategy & Business Development Analyst will work with Oshkosh Corporation’s Vocational Segment Business Development Team to support segment-wide strategic planning and strategy deployment (“SD”) activities. In addition, this position will support segment mergers and acquisition (“M&A”) activities and other strategic initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide analysis and support in the development of strategic plans for the Vocational Segment and other materials which are presented to the Board of Directors.

  • Collect and analyze market data, including market share and competitor financials, and report findings to senior management in a timely manner.

  • Conduct data analysis to support key initiatives based on the needs and strategic direction of Vocational businesses.

  • Support mergers & acquisition (“M&A”) activities including target screening / assessment, investment / company valuation, due diligence, and integration planning.

  • Analyze and profile companies to support the identification, development, and execution of strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisition opportunities.

  • Lead other ad hoc projects as requested.

  • Champion the Oshkosh Corp. "People First" competencies to engage, develop, and connect team members across the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field.

  • 1+ years work experience in financial planning, corporate strategy, or a related field.

  • Ability to communicate complex models and concepts.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial analysis skills.

  • Ability to interpret data and make thoughtful business recommendations.

  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).

  • Ability to travel occasionally.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in/with a Manufacturing industry.
