Robert Half Technical Writer in Annapolis, Maryland

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Technical Writer based in ANNAPOLIS, Maryland. This role is primarily involved in creating and editing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), working closely with various stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of quality technical documents.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SOPs for various functions such as application processing, mail handling, program participation, and form processing.

• Collaborate with outside government agencies and community partners to gather necessary information for technical documentation.

• Assist in the training of Domestic Violence Organizations by providing them with comprehensive and easy-to-understand SOPs.

• Handle the documentations related to school zoning and renewal applications.

• Utilize tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe RoboHelp, and Microsoft Office to create and edit documents.

• Effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

• Ensure all technical documents are up to date and comply with industry standards.

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create detailed technical instructions.

• Conduct AB Testing and utilize EO/IR systems to optimize the effectiveness of the technical documents.

• Create documents and deliverables in accordance with the department's SOPs. Requirements • Proficient in Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe RoboHelp

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems

• Knowledge of AP Style and Standard Operation Procedure

• Experience with Database Management

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Familiarity with AB Testing principles

• Understanding of Computer Hardware

• Ability to create Deliverables in line with Design goals

• Experience with Department SOP's

• Knowledge of Domestic Relations laws and regulations

• Ability to work with SMEs and Operations teams

• Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation in a clear and concise manner

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred Innovation starts with people.®
