Remote Laboratory Medical Biller

Location: Remote (East Coast or Central Time Zone, USA)

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Shift: Normal Business Hours (8:00 am – 5:00 pm oriented schedule)

Contract Duration: 4-6 months

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Laboratory Medical Biller to join their dynamic billing team. Key Responsibilities:

• Generate revenue by making payment arrangements, collecting accounts, and monitoring and pursuing accounts with pending payments from patients for laboratory services.

• Establish payment arrangements with patients, monitor payments, and follow up when payment lapses occur.

• Prepare and bill patients’ insurance, including interim billing and late charges.

• Review claims for accuracy and ensure they are billed within two business days.

• Resubmit and/or contact insurance carriers to follow up on previously billed accounts.

• Accurately rebill when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of LAB SERVICES medical billing experience

• 1-3 years of EMR experience (EPIC is preferred)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong computer skills.
