Robert Half NOC Technician in Annapolis, Maryland

Description

We are in search of a NOC Technician to join our team located in ANNAPOLIS, Maryland. This role involves the management of various technical aspects of our operations, including network management, customer support, and system troubleshooting. You will work within the telecom industry and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our customer services.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network management systems and collaborate with telecom providers to ensure the restoration of services.

• Keep track of incident details and maintain updated information in the incident management tool.

• Address system and network issues of limited scope and complexity.

• Utilize technical knowledge to manage IP networks, messaging systems, and Air to Ground data communications equipment and systems.

• Resolve routine technical queries from customers and business units.

• Collaborate with senior team members to resolve moderate to complex issues, and take the lead in resolving less complex issues.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, resolve or escalate network issues as necessary.

• Participate in network solutions design and configurations.

• Analyze issues and provide guidance to customers to resolve problems, with a strong focus on attention to detail.

• Train on different NOC positions including Transport, DataLink, and Applications.

• Multitask effectively, managing multiple responsibilities, prioritizing and delegating tasks as necessary.

This is a long-term contract position that involves working in a 24 x 7 365 Operation Center, which may require working some weekends and holidays. Strong customer service skills are essential.

Requirements • Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients and provide them with a satisfying experience.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.

• Experience in training individuals or groups on technical procedures or software.

• Familiarity with workstation support, including maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively, ensuring minimal downtime.

• Understanding of networks, including setup and maintenance.

• Knowledge of standard practices in tech support and customer service.

• Ability to handle customer queries promptly and effectively.

• Proven ability to resolve issues efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.

• Experience with configuration management to ensure system consistency.

• Familiarity with various protocols used in tech support.

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with deployments, including planning and execution.

• Ability to work collaboratively with various business units.

• Knowledge of computer hardware, including setup and maintenance.

• Experience with routers, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Understanding of Telecom and Firewall technologies.

• Language interpretation skills for assisting non-English speaking customers.

• Familiarity with circuit board design and maintenance.

• Knowledge of IP protocol and other Cisco Technologies.

• Experience with Servicenow Application for managing digital workflows.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues promptly.
