Jovian Concepts, Inc. System Engineer Level 3 in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Jovian Concepts, Inc. is looking to hire a System Engineer level 3 for our Prime Program. TS/SCI Clearance with Poly is required to be considered. No CCA's will be accepted or entertained for this role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for direct customer support conducting the following:

  • Frequent customer interactions

  • Requirements gathering

  • Event planning (Briefings, demonstrations, documentation)

  • Providing input for monthly and quarterly organizational updates

  • Providing additional briefing materials as needed

  • Conduct the weekly customer sync meeting

  • Intra-organizational engagements

  • Transition of Quick Reaction Capabilities (Software) to the SWE Team

  • Conduct operator interviews to determine future development needs and deficiencies in current capabilities gaps for future planning

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for direct Software Engineering Team Support:

  • Daily interactions with the SW Team (Modified SCRUM)

  • Requirements tracking

  • Issues and planning

  • Provide input regarding the full stack development requirements (Acquisition, Processing, and Back-end analytics)

  • Provide input based on customer requirements (Flow Diagrams, Data Samples, Interfaces, etc.)

  • Engage with capabilities development teams to ensure projects are synchronized to simplify transition

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for direct Prime Contractor Program Management Office (PMO) Support:

  • Conduct candidate interviews

  • Provide Weekly Status Reports

  • Provide a quarterly accomplishment document to PMO

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for direct Daily Duties:

  • Ensure the customer needs are met

  • Provide documentation of program engagements (Meeting minutes, actions)

  • Update and maintain confluence pages

  • Submit and track JIRA Requirements

  • Generate System Engineering documents as necessary

  • System Requirements Specification

  • Concept of Operation (CONOP)

  • Project Plans

  • Interface Control Documents (ICDs)

  • Context and Flow Diagrams

  • Use Cases

  • Flex the project resources with the customer needs

    In addition to the above:

    Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government, overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:

    Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal;

    Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement;

    Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management;

    Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.

    Requirements

    A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph is required to be considered for this role. No CCA's will be considered for this role.

  • Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
