Robert Half Fixed Asset Supervisor in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Description

We are inviting applications for the role of Fixed Asset Supervisor with our manufacturing client, based in ANN ARBOR, Michigan. This role primarily involves overseeing the management of fixed assets within our organization, supervising a team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of fixed assets within our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

• Maintain and update the fixed asset register for all assets in the organization.

• Conduct regular physical asset verifications and reconcile them with accounting records.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies related to fixed assets.

• Assist in obtaining and maintaining fixed asset incentives.

• Lead and supervise a team responsible for fixed asset tracking and accounting.

• Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective asset management.

• Utilize your skills in Fixed Asset Accounting, Fixed Asset Ledger, Fixed Assets, Maintain Fixed Asset, and General Ledger to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

• Significant experience in the manufacturing industry is required

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor

• Proficiency in Fixed Asset Accounting, Fixed Asset Ledger, and General Ledger

• Proven experience in maintaining fixed assets

• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Hands-on experience with accounting software

• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

• Experience with general ledger functions

• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

• BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree

• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
