Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline 10 years' experience combined experience (Production/QA/Applications) Technical understanding of raw materials, processes and facilities Understands Specialty applications, markets and business objectives Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and implement technologies Process engineering and quality engineering knowledge Proficient in quality data systems and corporate databases as well as in project management tools Ability to understand complex documents Ability to analyze data, identify trends and initiate actions Communication and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple situations Should have demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, to implement technology, and to introduce innovative approaches to maintain and then constantly improve product quality Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas Ability to present technical information

Experience overseeing and leading teams using AS9100 and ISO 9000

Duties:

Direct accountability for establishing and specifying quality assurance procedures and manufacturing process SPC programs to be used by manufacturing and/or raw materials suppliers. This includes auditing internal and external quality assurance systems. Has direct accountability for specifying process technology to be used by plants. Works closely with Customer Technical Team and the plant to make sure that raw materials and product and process technology meet current customer needs. Consults regularly with Production Control, Raw Materials Purchasing, and others. Coordinates the planning, implementation and/or interpretation of plant trials and trial results. Works with R&D and Central Engineering on Process Technology. Is knowledgeable about competitive facilities, technology, operating levels and activities. Has a high level of skill in interpreting and solving problems. Makes product and process decisions and/or recommendations to management. Greater experience and maturity and thus greater freedom to act. Leads the Process Engineers. Provides direction to goals which comply with Business goals. Insures that environment is positive and conducive to continuous improvement. Insures that proper training and communication is provided for all team members. Technical problem solving associated with raw material choices. Material substitutions and processing changes. Work with CTS on grade recommendation. Make decisions on field performance problems. Develops new processing routes and techniques for existing products. Collaborate with R&D to develop new products and grades. Work with CTS to implement approaches for better performing products. Lead the plant Process Engineers and Process Managers that have accountability for quality and Process Engineering functions.
