On With Life Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Days in Ankeny, United States
We are currently hiring LPNs for our day shift (6a-6p). We have some flexibility regarding which shifts are worked on which days. LPN positions can work as little as part-time 16 hours/week up to full-time 40 hours/week; weekends-only options may also be available. Each schedule requires a holiday rotation (with special holiday pay), an every 3rd weekend rotation (if not a weekends-only schedule), and a weekend on-call rotation (with special on-call pay). As part of completing the application, you are asked to specify the hours you are interested in.
IMPORTANT : Please note that our orientation process (typically up to 1 month) may require working days or shifts outside of what will be your permanent schedule.
Our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) positions start at $23.50/hour for minimal experience, with our most experienced staff making $34/hour base pay. We pay a 9% differential on your experienced-based base wage for all hours worked between 2pm and 10pm, and 11% for all hours worked between 10pm and 6am. We do annual raises based on budget capacity, and you also have the opportunity for a discretionary bonus at your anniversary. We also offer a Hiring Bonus, paid in increments through your first 18 months of employment. The bonus is:
Positions regularly scheduled less than 24 hours per week: $7,000
Positions regularly scheduled at least 24 but less than 36 hours per week: $8,500
Positions regularly scheduled 36 or more hours per week: $10,000. This amount is bumped to $12,500 for the night shift schedule.
This position is eligible for a 401k match, PTO and long-term sick pay, and other benefits depending on total hours worked, such as subsidized health, dental and vision insurance. What do Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) do at On With Life?
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in partnership with other members of the transdisciplinary rehabilitation team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
is responsible for all direct person served care in accordance with the individual care plans and physician orders;
supervises nursing services and other duties completed by Certified Nursing Assistants;
implements facility policies and procedures and coordinates nursing cares and activities with services provided by other members of the rehabilitation team; and
addresses the personalized needs of each person served.

Qualified applicants must have:
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Iowa
Ability to maintain CPR certification (if you do not have this already, we will pay for it)
