Job Title: Sanitation Supervisor – 3rd Shift FLSA: Exempt

Location: Beverage Mfg. Revision Date: 11/2024

General Function:

The individual in this position will be involved with deep cleaning and sanitation of the production facility. The right individual for this position will have attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal direct supervision. They will be over seeing all other sanitation clerks.

Positions that Reports to you: Sanitation Employees

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedules employees as needed, honors employee time off requests, and replaces employees that call in.

  • Coordinates and/or assists in the performance evaluation process and reviews all employees (at least annually).

  • Ensure correct chemicals and procedures followed.

  • Orders product and maintains inventory.

  • Ability to work with other shift members to complete cleaning assignments.

  • Work safely with chemicals and ensure correct personal protective equipment is used.

  • Adheres to company policies and individual center guidelines.

  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

  • Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.

  • Follows all food safety procedures.

  • Assist in all set up and clean up responsibilities.

    Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to work under time constraints and be flexible in hours worked.

  • Monitors and implements HAACP and Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.

  • Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.

  • Smiles and greets employees in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the center.

  • Works from a written or verbal list.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

  • Must have the ability to read and understand simple math measurements

    Education and Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent education preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities (Direct Report)

  • Responsible for instructing, assigning work, reviewing work, planning work of others, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, allocating personnel and acting on employee problems.

  • Has authority to recommend employee disciplinary action.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Must be able to be on feet (standing and walking) for 6-8 hours a day.

  • Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

    Working Conditions:

This is a fast-paced work environment and may be required to work in a 38-degree environment. This position involves exposure to dirt, dust, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, and chemicals/solvents.

Box cutter, knives, trash compactor, cardboard compactor, telephone

Contacts:

Has daily contact with employees and suppliers/vendors. Has occasional contact with federal or state regulatory agencies regarding inspections.
