Salary Range: $46,724 to $97,810

Qualifications Required:

Candidates must possess a New York State Certification in Animal Science 7-12 or qualify for a Transitional A Certificate (2 years of qualifying experience along with an Associate Degree in a related field or 4 years of qualifying experience with a High School Diploma, GED or HSE) and be willing to enroll in college course work to meet the Transitional A pathway requirements.

Qualifying experience is defined as comprehensive and appropriate work

experience as follows:

Animal Science:

This title requires the applicant to have in-depth, comprehensive and appropriate work experience in the animal science industry involving the reproduction, husbandry, care and maintenance of large and small animals including farm, domestic, laboratory, wildlife and/or exotic animals. Experience may include, but is not limited to, veterinary medicine, dairy production and management, the animal feed industry, and wildlife management.
