U.S. Air Force - Agency Wide INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in Andrews AFB, Maryland

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Air National Guard (ANG) Information System Security Manager (ISSM), providing management and oversight for the Cybersecurity program. Responsibilities Manages the Air National Guard (ANG) Intelligence Community (IC) Cybersecurity program to ensure compliance with the IC and Department of Defense directives. Develops ANG level policy, implement public law, national standards, intelligence and security policies, directives, instructions and regulations. Coordinates Assessment and Authorization (A&A) actions for ANG intelligence sites, networks, and systems. Guides Information System Security Manager (ISSM) through the Risk Management Framework. Oversees Cybersecurity program for ANG IC sites. Serves as focal point for all system and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility. Ensure compliance with Air Force IC security policies and associated security controls. Collects, compile and reports data from ANG sites for the purpose of responding to data calls, Federal Information Security Modernization Act quarterly reporting, Task Orders and incident reports. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Individual Occupational Requirements for Information Technology (IT) Management Series, 2210 (Alternative A) Salary Ranges includes local market supplement This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GG-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of current information systems infrastructures, networking, operating systems, and applications. Skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments. Knowledge of Cybersecurity policies and procedures to oversee systems/network certification and accreditation to develop new methods, approaches, and procedures. Knowledge in applying the concepts, principles and practices associated with the technical aspects of the intelligence systems to ensure policy and procedures are enforced. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of current and emerging Command, Control Communications, Command and Controls, Communications, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Cyber, Space Control and Remotely Piloted Aircraft programs and weapon systems. Knowledge of the Cybersecurity field that includes Computer Security, Network Security, Incident Response and Defense in Depth. Knowledge of national defense and Air Force laws, directives, policies, and regulations pertaining to unique communication and data processing requirements associated with processing SCI and intelligence data. Ability to interpret, analyze, and evaluate new system engineering technologies and their effect on the operating environment and determine security vulnerabilities. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to perform independent assessments based on incomplete data for all forms of electronical communications. Knowledge of United States and international Cybersecurity standards. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
