Mercury Systems Engineering Technician- Solder Specialist in Andover, Massachusetts

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Advanced Solder and Rework Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality soldering and rework on a variety of electronic components, maintaining general lab upkeep, and overseeing inventory management. The ideal candidate must hold an IPC certification and have extensive experience in soldering and rework techniques. Key Responsibilities: * Perform advanced soldering and rework on electronic components and circuit boards. * Ensure all soldering work meets IPC standards. * Conduct inspections and quality checks on soldered joints and reworked components. * Troubleshoot and repair defective components and assemblies. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment. * Manage and maintain inventory of lab supplies and components. * Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment. * Document work processes and maintain accurate records. * Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure project timelines are met. * Provide support for other lab-related activities as needed. Required Qualifications: * 5(+) years of relevant experience. * IPC Certification. * Proven experience in advanced soldering and rework techniques. * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. * Familiarity with electronic testing equipment. * Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. * Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. * Strong problem-solving skills. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in a manufacturing or electronics lab environment. * Additional certifications related to electronics or soldering.
